YESTERDAY

 Fiona Offers to Help Work

Because I got a late start this morning (how unusual!), I parked at the West Oakland BART station, then took the next train to Embarcadero Station in San Francisco before biking along the waterfront to my mom's place in the Marina district.

After working through the afternoon, I rode down to the Metreon to meet my sister, Tiffany, for dinner at the Firewood Cafe. Following dinner, we walked over to the Center for the Performing Arts Theatre at Yerba Buena Gardens for tonight's show by the Bang on a Can All-Stars.

At this point, I was still getting my stealth photography technique down, so I have lots of blurry, mis-framed and otherwise unusable pictures of the show. You can see the best of the lot over on the right -- it looks ok to me in the thumbnail, but the full-size image is way over-exposed. It's those darn 'automatic' settings that don't know how to deal with the demands of theatre/performance photography.

After the show, Tiffany and I walked up to the Montgomery Street BART Station, where we descended to take our trains back to the East Bay. Contractors renovating the escalators had left things disassembled and in disarray, so I had fun inspecting the guts of the mechanical assembly. Cool, man!!
