Yesterday we came home
from work to find a large tree had been delivered to our yard...strange!
This morning I went out and inspected it, a fine Japanese Maple. It turns
out that our neighbors-down-the-block at 1 Villanova Drive had ordered it
from the Thornhill Nursery at the bottom of the hill, but the delivery driver
had screwed up. Happens more frequently than I'd care to see!
That evening it was time for a performance by the Berkeley Symphony Orchestra
at Zellerbach Hall. Tonight's program consisted of Benjamin Britten's Lacrymae,
featuring violist Linda Ghidossi-DeLuca, and Anton Bruckner's Symphony #8.
