## Notes

Seated in my current fave spot for this venue, middle of the 6th row, with Kaoru and her friend ?Eva? sitting to the left. A small turnout tonight -- we were practically the last row seated -- it seemed as if no more than 1/3 of the house was sold. Which was truly a shame, because Julian is a great guitar player and a heck of a nice guy. This was my first time seeing him with his own trio, and I liked the combination. Tupac, in particular, deserves praise for his inventive percussion -- best drum solo I've ever heard on an acoustic bass!

Checked out the tiny art gallery at set break -- nice to have it open, even if I wasn't particularly moved by any of the pieces on display.
