## Notes 

Tonight's early show was pretty darn good! Not having done my pre-show homework, I was happily surprised to hear that the night's performance would focus on the music of Wayne Shorter. Seemed like a fine choice to me! I was curious to find out how they would make out without a horn player, but the answer is just fine -- both Geri and Esperanza took turns shaping the melodic lead. I was a bit surprised when the set came to an end before 8:30 -- with the late show not scheduled until 9:30, I was expecting another tune or two -- but beggars can't be choosers, and I'm grateful for the show that I got.
