## Notes

I found _Hir_ to be an engaging and funny work, but also a bit over contrived in piling on the absurdities of family woe depicted in the run of the story. And while the comedic thread of the story wrote a bit bare as the more dramatic elements were lifted to the fore, at least it wasn't dark and disturbing like _Buried Child_. I'll take base comedy over gothic horror any day!
