## Notes

I'm not sure when SFJAZZ updated their webpage, but I'm darn sure that I didn't get any emails warning that David Hidalgo had been cancelled from tonight's show. Hence I'm both bummed (no Dave!) and annoyed (at SFJAZZ) over the switcheroo. I'm also annoyed at the heavy-handed behavior of the house staff that I observed tonight. Busting people left and right for trying to take cell phone pictures. Or kicking people out of seats up front that were obviously empty. Pretty lame, IMHO.

On the other hand, the music was great. Totally different from last night. Really fun. Would have probably been better to advertise it as a dance show instead of a sit-and-listen thing (yeah, I saw ushers busting people for dancing too, sheesh!). Much better turnout than last night. Supposedly a "sell out" -- quoted because there were quite a few empty seats nonetheless.

I wish I had a better ear for Spanish ... probably would have been able to fill in a few more of the blanks in the setlist.
