You just **know** it's gonna be a happening party when the first thing you spot when you show up at a party are naked chicks running around laughing and giggling. Oh yeah, hot summer days are here again!

It was fun grazing on the assorted pot luck plates, dashing in now and then to pick a fresh bite when a newcomer arrived with a particularly exciting platter, and I think I ended up eating less than usual. Hard to measure without a plate, but I was trying to be happy just nibbling.

I want feeling particularly sociable today, so mostly I greeted friends, then just hung around, listening to them talk. Having mis-planned and left my shorts at home, I was particularly grateful for the pleasant breeze that consented to flutter and flow through the earlier, warmer part of the afternoon -- that little bit of moving air kept it from getting instantly hot underneath the parachute in front of the stage.

The boys in the Band needed no such restraint, and they kicked through one hot number after another. The first set might have been foreshortened just a touch, but I was happy for a break once they announced it -- made for a good chance to slip off into the deep shade down by the hot tub for awhile!

The second set included plenty more tasty tunes (hard to go wrong covering the Beatles), and the fully acoustic encore was the cherry on top, a sweet way to wrap up the proceedings of the day. Thanks to all involved in making this event happen, most particularly to our splendid hosts, Joanne and Chuck!
