## Notes

Stu and his buddies played a long set for us today, with lots of sit-ins featuring assorted band members from the first two acts. Having Ron Holloway and Melvin Seals guest on _the Race Is On_ seemed kind of strange as far as song selection goes, but they both added interesting contributions, and despite my initial misgivings, I was sad to see them leave so soon. The following tune, _It Must Have Been the Roses_, also seemed like a strange choice for a guest sit-in, in this case by Cheryl and Shirley, singing harmony vox. Again, it worked. Guess I shouldn't carry so much baggage about what makes a decent setlist!

So, uh, what else do I have to say about Stu's set? Well, the weather wasn't as cold and fight as some past years, that was a really big plus! And the guys played for a darn long time, that's for sure! Probably the best thing would be for you to listen and decide for yourself. Thanks to Jon Hart, you can do that!
