## Notes

Tonight's show was pretty darn good. Especially the first pair of tunes, setting a high bar for the rest of the performance!

It was kind of funny hearing that Joshua wasn't interested in trying Sonny Rollins' _Oleo_ with Zakir -- they opted to play Charlie Parker's _Red Cross_ instead. I'm gonna guess that with Rollins' _St. Thomas_ already intended as the encore, Joshua simply wanted to spread the composer credits around.

I thought it was interesting that they restricted themselves to a single solo tune apiece: given that today was their first performance together, I was expecting to hear a bit less structure and more aimless improvisation. My bad for selling these guys short!
