Could I have fallen asleep and missed something? I suppose it's possible, but I don't remember snoozing tonight.... The closing tune -- the sole piece of the night not part of Ella Fitzgerald's repertoire -- was a lengthy suite by Alvester Garnett, and included a fine discursion into _When The Saints Go Marchin' In_. Good stuff there! I was mildly disappointed that we didn't get an encore, but as with a few other shows I've attended recently, when it's clear that the audience isn't clamoring for more, it shouldn't be a surprise when you don't get anything extra! ## Photos Big thanks to Ting for the photo gallery! Back to the previous event! ☸ Up to the 2017 yearbox! ☸ Up to the 2017 event list! ☸ On to the next event!
