Really good, if romantic art-classical songs are the thing you want to listen to! I'm not normally a fan of that genre, but it was good enough to keep my attention at least 90% of the time! It will be interesting to find out what the various self-appointed expert critics have to say about the show, and whether or not they feel MTT measures up to the standard set by Mahler. Janos Gereben posted a [promo article](https://www.sfcv.org/music-news/michael-tilson-thomass-rilke-songs-in-sf-symphony-world-premiere) for the show at SFCV. Steve Winn posted a [review](https://www.sfcv.org/reviews/san-francisco-symphony/mtt-wears-his-composer-hat-in-meditations-on-rilke) of the show at SFCV. _Meditations on Rilke_ appears on a new release from SFS Media: read more about that on their [info page](https://www.sfsymphony.org/Discover-the-Music/SFS-Media/TilsonThomas). Back to the previous event! ☸ Up to the 2020 yearbox! ☸ Up to the 2020 event list! ☸ On to the next event!
