## Notes

Saturday night and it's time to keep the party going. We head north along the beach-path after [Dead and Company](2020-01-18), arriving at Nizuc Pool as Goose is getting ready to start their set. Perfect! Just enough time to grab a bit of food and swing by the bar, and I'm down in front with Ting as the band kicks things off. Not having seen Goose, there's no chance I'll recognize any of the originals, but it's not too hard to get the timing, and I pick up the song titles later from John T's [torrent](http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=608331).

The cover choices are darn good: _Escape_ is a good choice for a party song in Mexico, and Goose' rendition of _Crosseyed and Painless_ is friggin' amazing, and the crowd goes ape-shit over it. Good choice! After a very short pause, the band starts up a slow song, so we jet. I'm sorry to admit that the Fun Folks are too old to stay up dancing with the kids anymore! Like Kenny Rogers sang, "You gotta know when to fold up..."

We catch a shuttle back to the Grand as soon as we exit the party zone and not 20 minutes later, we're chilling back in the suite. Time for the late night hot tub, oh yeah!
