# Wakey Wakey at Geary Theater, January 28, 2020 [American Conservatory Theater](https://www.act-sf.org/home/box_office/1920_season/wakey_wakey.html) presents _Wakey Wakey_ featuring [WWCast](https://www.act-sf.org/home/box_office/1920_season/wakey_wakey.html) [A.C.T.'s Geary Theater](http://www.act-sf.org/) [415 Geary St, San Francisco, CA 94102-1222 USA](http://maps.google.com/maps?q=415+Geary+St,+San+Francisco,+CA+94102-1222+USA&hl=en) 7:30 PM, Thursday, January 28, 2020 [[2020-01-27|Back to the previous event!]] ☸ [[:#section2020|Up to the 2020 yearbox!]] ☸ [[:2020#January_events|Up to the 2020 event list!]] ☸ [[2020-01-29|On to the next event!]] ## Part One: the Substitution [7:36 PM lights down, let's go!] [7:37 PM] Tonight's entertainment starts out with a previously unannounced 'appetizer': a very short play by Will Eno, featuring Kathryn Smith-McGlynn as _Ms. Forester_: a substitute teacher facing a class of somewhat cynical and disinterested college students (Dinah Berkeley, LeRoy S. Graham III, Emma Van Lare, and Jeff Wittekiend). It's witty and absurd ... and a good way of setting the scene for the mania of _Wakey Wakey_. [7:49 PM] _the Substitution_ ends; house lights stay down, and a few seconds later, we've moved on to the main event. ### Cast * Dinah Berkeley: _Jennifer_; * LeRoy S. Graham III: _Bobby_; * Kathryn Smith-McGlynn: _Ms. Forester_: a substitute teacher; * Emma Van Lare: _Marisol_; * Jeff Wittekiend: _Jimmy_. ## Part Two: Wakey Wakey [7:49 PM] House lights come up on Tony Hale as _Guy_ in his wheelchair, wondering what's going on. [8:48 PM] all done! What a show... A word storm ... a mind's journey ... a real trip! ## Performers ### Cast [WWCast](https://www.act-sf.org/home/box_office/1920_season/wakey_wakey.html) * Tony Hale: _Guy_: male, 40s-60s, youthful looking but might suddenly look gaunt or unwell, in the wrong (right) lighting. He's in a wheelchair; * Kathryn Smith-McGlynn: _Lisa_: female 30s-50s. A warm and caring person, but not inclined toward any kind of sentimentality. Loving, and, matter-of-fact, in equal amounts. ### Production Credits [WWProductionCredits](https://www.act-sf.org/home/box_office/1920_season/wakey_wakey.html) * [Russell H. Well done!
