## Notes
A slightly tardy departure and nutty Friday afternoon traffic (busy around schools again!) mean that we don't arrive at TXR until just before the 4 PM door time. Midnight North is still working on soundcheck (? _Those days are gone_), which gives us time for the pre-show vax check, then a few minutes standing around chitchatting before Pete opens the gate for the usual "name check, wrist band, then release."
Soon enough we're up front inside, opting today for a more centered spot in the second row instead of the shade-first rail spot in front of the house right PA: with the passing of the summer days, the sun angle has changed so much that the shade doesn't come until almost sunset: not good enough for keeping cool any more! Not too hot today -- low 70's right now with a soft breeze -- so we should be fine with the extra radiation. Looks like Phil's bass rig set up onstage -- yay! Sad to think that it's been almost two months since we've seen him. Guess he's been hanging low: hiding out from the Delta variant?
Midnight North plays us a solid show. Lots of times from the new album: with repetition they're getting easier to recognize! Today I'm psyched to hear _Earthquakes_ -- they laid into that pretty good.
