So like an idiot, I forgot that BART has been shutting down early on Sunday during the pandemic: 9 PM! First set ended tonight about 8:20 PM; twenty minutes for intermission meant that set two wouldn't get going until about 8:45 PM, leaving me no chance for hearing that bit AND getting home. Crap-ola! Should have checked things out better this afternoon: could driven over and solved the problem that way. Oh well. So how was the first set? Great! Like a long dream, with episodes that followed into and through one another without break of any sort. I'm certain this made it hard for some folks to follow the program, but being familiar with about half of it, those pieces served as guide marks to keep my attention on track. Hélène played from memory, and it was quite interesting to watch her: I'm sorry to have cut short my first chance to hear her, hopefully she'll be back again soon! **Whoa!** This section is incomplete for now, sorry! [Program Notes](https://sfsymphony.encoreplus.app/posts/100362/helene-grimaud-program-notes) or Back to the previous event! ☸ Up to the 2022 yearbox! ☸ Up to the 2022 event list! ☸ On to the next event!
