## Notes

Skunk put on a good show for us tonight: I'm glad we rallied! I didn't buy his _Speed of Heat_ disc, but I assume what we heard is pretty darn close to the versions recorded for that. I appreciated that the covers were mutated from the originals -- it's always more interesting to be surprised by the sound of something new that remains familiar enough to be recognizable. Given that the singing wasn't particularly strong, I was a little surprised that James Raymond didn't get a turn at lead -- maybe that's something to blame on Yoshi's for enforcing a curfew (and cutting down the possible performance time?). Hard to say...
