Notes

Despite (or because of?) the location, this was one of the best Ravi Shankar shows I ever attended. The crowd roared their love at the very start of the show, offering a long standing ovation to their hero, and he responded in fine fashion, crafting music fit for Heaven!

Like usual, Ravi did a fine job introducing the pieces to us rubes, but I've undoubtedly mangled the names and descriptions. Let me know if you can offer any help with corrections!

Jim Harrington posted a brief review of the show in the East Bay Times. Unfortunately, he didn’t really offer any detailed commentary about what happened, only that it was sublime and way too short!
