Notes

Tonight's recital was a real gem – plenty of great works from the big B's (that's Bach, Beethoven and Brahms to you illiterates), performed with panache by a pair of terrific musicians.

I was joined tonight by TC, Jeff & Sandra, seated in the back row of Terrace 3 - at roughly 10:30 PM if you imagine looking out from the stage with midnight straight ahead, but raised up quite a bit higher than the equivalently distant seats in the center section. Afterwards, TC complained that he thought we were too far away to really hear the violin, but I thought the sound was fine. Sure, it might have been more fun to sit onstage and be only a few feet from the musicians, but that seating choice wasn't available when I first placed my order.

Surprisingly, it appears that this event failed to attract the attention of any professional reviewers – shame on them!
