Notes

I was mildly worried about arriving late and missing part of this gig (due to our prior commitment at Miner Auditorium for the Superstar Quartet show. Turns out I had nothing to worry about, as we had plenty of time between the early jazz show and the later funk/rock spectacular.

Although the New Parish wasn't too crowded when we walked in a little after 9 PM, there were plenty of folks on hand by the time Breakestra began throwing down, and the crowd continued to swell throughout their funky set. Although given my infamiliarity with their repertoire, I found it darn near impossible to keep any sort of useful setlist – everything up above is subject to informed correction! After a generous set (too long!, grumped some of the older Suspects fans),

So what about the Suspects half of the show? It rocked! The boys seemed to be in good spirits, and it was a ttreat to have Fred Tackett sitting in, particularly as it allowed them to get into that guitar duel thang that's so fun to see and hear. Of course I'm slightly disappointed that we only got one set – and a short one at that! – but given the other events of the day, I can't really complain, and I'm ad I was able to attend!!!

Back to the calendar!
