Big rig crash in SF this afternoon TOTALLY snarled traffic heading into town over the Bay Bridge, so we drove over to West Oakland instead, zoomed in under the bay on BART, then hoofed it a couple blocks over to SFJAZZ, arriving so early that the house manager was still giving tonight's prep talk to the volunteer staff in the upstairsd lobby. Time for a pale ale! While we waited, a guy came by with a GIANT (3' by 4'?) hand-made Birthday Card for Hugh, offering our choice of colored markers for signing good wishes. Ting just happened to have a giant NTTH sticker, so that ended up on there too. Fun!
