String Cheese Incident

Notes

I had a good time at tonight's Cheese show, made all the more exciting with the three sit-ins by Jerry Harrison. When the band was grooving, it was pretty easy to forget my troubles and dance, though there were times when I felt like they were coasting a little too much on that simple fast 4/4 EDM beat. Still, surprises like the first set segue into Exodus and the happy, bouncy groove of Rosie kept me smiling, and it helped that the crowd around us was mostly composed of mellow old hippies rather than the spun out screamers or the incessantly puffing ex-frat-boys ahead of us on the next closer tier. Having arrived a little late for grabbing a first tier rail spot, I was surprised when Ting opted to head to the second tier, but things worked out well for the both of us there, as friends Andy and Marc welcomed us and made room to hang out. Three cheers for good friends!

I left my setlist above in mostly as-written format in order to emphasize the contiguously jammy nature of the show. My apologies if you think it looks weird, but often, weird is better than straight!
