Notes

I thought tonight's show was a real hoot. Plenty of ugly raw noise, blended with copious measures of beauty, delicacy, whimsy and groove. It's not hard to understand that this might not be the most popular sort of thing for other music-lovers to listen to, but still, I was surprised that the house was less than half full. A shame, really!

Talking to an usher on Sunday about whether there would be one set or two, she suggested that tonight's long performance occurred that way because Ribot simply forgot to take a break. Maybe! Didn't bother me much to lose the intermission.

Dave Pehling posted an interesting interview with Marc on the KTVU site.
