I'm really glad that we put this gig on our calendar, David doesn't seem to play near as many shows in the bay area as he used to. I feel like I should have been able to ID tunes 2 and 4 above; maybe a quick cruise through the Murray section of my CD collection is in order!

Thanks to Gold Star, the late show was pretty darn full, though I don't know if we should count the 20-odd Murray family members against that total or not.

Seems like this is pretty close to the end of the line for Yoshi's SF – the new owners, “Fillmore Live Entertainment Group”, who also own the building, if I recall correctly, appear to be planning to rename the venue sometime in the next ninety days. Sad to see another jazz venue disappear, but hopefully the new owners will find a way to bring in good performers and make a successful go of it!
