Notes

Another fine Sunday with Chef Jeff and the merry crew of Moss House. I was surprised to note that the crowd today was considerably different from that at the other recent Moss House events – maybe a quarter of the regular crowd, but then lots of other new folks. Must be competition for attention this weekend!

As usual, dinner was off the charts delicious, and it was only with the greatest exertion of self control that I stopped myself from gobbling seconds of anything besides wine. Yum! Keep thinking thin thoughts – look all you want, but measure carefully when loading your plate and all that razzmatazz.

The music seemed to start a little later today – I'm guessing that Doug and James arrived a little later than we expected – but given the fine weather and pleasant company, it was easy filling the extra spare time (though tough to ignore the siren call to the table for more salmon and other treats!).

Once they got around to playing, the set raveled along quite nicely, with Lauren telling stories about most of the original tunes (and some of the covers too). Very loose and homey, just like we expect for a Moss House gig!
