Being deliberately unfamiliar with the new Tweedy album before tonight's set, I was happily surprised to hear how hard it rocked – I'd been expecting something quieter and more introspective instead. And as the only tunes up there that I recognize at this remove, a good six weeks after the show, are the older Tweedy/Wilco numbers, I can't really add to much beyond that first burst of enthusiasm. I'd be happy to hear another show from this band, especially in a club like the Chapel or Leo's (yeah, pinch me, I'm dreaming; you know that when they come back it will be to the relatively cavernous Warfield or the Fox or some other venue with a bigger gate-take).
