Notes

Relatively easy traffic for a Saturday night means that our journey to TXR was easy and uneventful. Yay! Lots of people lined up for seats, but thanks to our pals Paul and Lori we ended up third row center – gotta be grateful for teamwork like that! For some reason, I was unprepared for a sit-down show – not that it makes all that much difference, I guess – but I appreciated the opportunity to sit in a room full of like-minded listeners. The audience was respectfully silent the whole night, so much so that the creaking hinge on the kitchen door was a distraction, and at the start of the second set, Stanley asked that the music from the band playing in the bar (which I couldn't even hear) be turned down. Good to be part of a crowd like that!

And the sound tonight was exquisite – I felt like I could hear every little scrape of Stanley's nails upon the strings. At times the sound was so reverberant that I felt like I was inside some giant guitar. Cool!
