Notes

It was darn near impossible to keep track of all the players and the going and coming during this set. My first clue that I was in for trouble was when the first song ended before I finished noting who was doing what, and then the entire front line walked off stage. Hey! Come back here! I wasn't done yet!

So anyways, these notes are likely to be way more wrong than usual, and I make no guarantee as to accuracy regarding the players: there was way too much switching going on, and not nearly enough in the way of introductions!

Musically, the set was a little on the rough side. You might think at first glance that with the the pros lined up to help, everything would be just fine, but the constant rotating of the leader position between enthusiastic amateurs made for a somewhat uneven experience. I'll grant them kudos for making the effort, and for choosing some terrific covers, but there were still plenty of stray clams. So, uh, plenty of listener tolerance was necessary, but that's a given from the early morning crowd: we're easy that way!
