Wow! It's rare to see a show – musical or not – where poetry is a major focus, and to me, that's one thing that really draws me to Luciana Souza. I might not be all that impressed with every one of the poems she picks, but I appreciate the fact that she hears something in the words, and then tries to come of with something complementary in musical delivery. That's the sort of creative artistry that gets me coming back to see her year after year!
