Notes

[4 PM] seated inside, dead center, about 20 feet back from stage, thanks to Dave and Kaila. Ting was the relative winner for today's lottery, and it looks to me like she claimed a near rail spot: so much for her assertion, “I'm tired of being blocked by the monitors because I'm too close.” Hah!

Within 30 minutes, I'm summoned to the rail. Apparently folks there have decided they'll make room, and Ting demands it. Who am I decline such an invitation? So I say goodbye to Dave and the kids and pick my way up a little closer.

Tonight's show is really fun. Makes me glad to have dropped big bucks on a Mexican vacation. I can't imagine thinking this a few weeks ago, but as of right now, I'm looking forward to round four next year!

Jay Blakesberg shared a nice shot of the post-show fireworks

Fireworks after the show made for a grand finale. Unfortunately, our view was blocked by the stage-rigging, but a hundred meters' walk over towards the water fixed that problem in a jiffy!

Another good show! Sad to see that didn't write much during the show, and then compounded that by failing to make time to jot down my post-show thoughts that night or the next day. Must have been too busy having fun again! Dude, you're fired!

Actually, I think I may have written more, but things got screwed up with Simplenote … there were a couple places where my setlist was corrupted; I think I recovered OK, but I'm guessing that I lost a bit. Oh well. At least I have fading memories!

Big thanks to Ting for the photo gallery!
