Late Show

Set One

[we skipped the first set as it conflicted with Nelson Band … and while we could have headed over for a bit of rockin' during setbreak, we opted instead to chill out and hold on to our prime spot in front of David on the rail]

Set Two

[a few more tunes in the bar after the end of the Nelson Band set – no times noted]

  • ?
  • ?
  • All Along the Watchtower
  • ? (one more? not having been into taking notes, at this point it's hard to remember how things went down!)

Performers

  • Tom Gunterman: violin;
  • Alex Nelson: guitar, lead and harmony vox;
  • Mike Pascale: acoustic guitar, guitar, lead and harmony vox;
  • Patrick Picchi: drums;
  • Tim Picchi: bass;
  • Emily Sunderland: lead and harmony vox (t09-10 only);

Notes

Always fun to get to TXR for Friday Happy Hour before a gig in the grate room because it means more music and more fun hanging with the hippies. Rolled in around 4:15 PM and snagged a parking spot, then hustled into the bar to find things not quite ready to roll. First round of hellos didn't shake loose any seats, so I headed towards the back of the bar to make friends with a lawyer named Tim, but Ting didn't want to sit in back, so with some cajoling she got us two seats front and center, sharing a table with Rick and Steve. Much better for watching the show! Nice to unwind while eating pizza and enjoying a beer … tonight a fine pint of Lagunitas IPA.

After the set ended we headed out for a bit of line duty, starting out in the main line, but then migrating around the corner to the “secret” line as soon as it was clear that the side door was going to open up too. Thanks Pete!
