Notes

Zigaboo Modeliste & the New Aahkesstra opened for Los Lobos

Zigaboo did his best to whip the crowd up tonight, but it seemed to me that the majority of the proles were somehow immune to his funky beats. From my spot up in the balcony, there were an awful lot of still bodies out there, and the utterly lame reaction when Zig instigated call-and-response during the Meters classic, Africa served only to confirm that suspicion. On the other hand, the crowd exhibited the same strange lack of response to the introduction of Blondie Chaplin later in the night, so it's clear that the shortfall had nothing to do with Zig.
