Notes

Chad Taylor was originally scheduled as drummer, but Marc announced that he was home “on maternity leave”, so Ches stepped in to help out tonight.

The first set was as crazy and out tonight as on Friday, but with even less obvious structure to hang onto. Just ebb and flow. It was fun, but not quite different enough from the other show for me to feel like I made a good decision in picking this show too. Kinda disappointing also for yet another last minute personnel change, but what can ya do? You make your buying decision on what is advertised, not what is served up.

Second set was more of the same: mostly acoustic insanity. According to Marc, they played a bunch of covers of Albert Ayler and John Coltrane, but the only tune he identified by name was Sun Ship, the final tune of the encore. Unless I get help from someone more knowledgable than I, a detailed presentation of tonight's setlist is going to remain a mystery!
