Tonight's show was kind of interesting – a semi theatrical presentation of completely new work by Esperanza Spalding and her cohorts, but given that I was more in the mood for jazz than R&B/nuevo funk, I found it just a little unsatisfying. Basically, I'm saying that I probably wouldn't have bought tickets if I knew what was going to happen. Oh well, another night for the record books…
