?Talk about the light show?

I like the visual component for this tour – the lighting rig and great big stealie with a round video screen works pretty nicely. The actual presentation doesn't seem as cosmic as Candace used to do for us – there were numerous times when I felt like the lighting or imagery was a little too derivative (or mismatched to the particular song being played), but that might just my judgmental analyzer trying to ruin my buzz. For the most part, the performance video was well done, offering an interesting supplement to what was visible anyways (and probably great help for folks farther back from stage). Some of the stealie videos were particularly cosmic. I really liked the loop that was played during last night's Help » Slip » Franklin's, even if it was so short that I noticed it repeating at least twice. Weirder when I saw some loops come up at different times during the show. Just seems surprising that they didn't have at least 20 different sequences to show off, if not one per possible tune from the 100-ish in the setlist bank.
