Notes

We missed the first three songs due to our prior engagement with Kronos at Miner Auditorium, drat! Oh well, I'm happy that we were able to catch most of the show nonetheless!

And not to quibble or anything, but it seemed just a little odd that the setlist omitted about half of the album that was being celebrated. Knockin' on Heaven's Door was listed on the planned setlist (slated for Scott Guberman to sing, wrapping up set two), but I Want You and Joey were mysteriously absent. C'est la vie! The tunes that were subbed in were certainly plenty of fun, and only a picky bastard would quibble about the missed possibilities – as if there was any chance of covering all of the great Dylan tunes that the Grateful Dead played over their tenure as a performing unit. Maybe if it was a 12-hour marathon show… Hmmn, now there's an idea worth pursuing!

Jon Hart was running his multitrack recording rig, so with a bit of luck, you'll be able to hear this show via the Live Music Archive sooner or later. And I'll be able to solve the mystery of who sang lead on the verses of Maggie's Farm – I know for sure that Scott Padden and Brian Rashap took one each, but the printed setlist just says “ALL” and I failed to take notes, so until then, all I have is my dim-witted recollection!
