[Philip Wilder, NCCO Executive Director, introduces Daniel Hope as NCCO's new Artistic Partner, a sort of temporary “Music Director in Residence”, who will helm the musical direction of the group over the next three years]
[12:00 PM, PW calls Daniel onstage, where he is joined by Sun Ha Yoon accompanying him at the piano]

I was a little surprised to find myself invited to this presentation, but I suppose NCCO made all of their donors welcome, on the theory that it's better to make folks feel included than not! And happily, I was able to carve a bit of space out of my work day to witness the very brief performance by maestro Hope and his accompanist. Three cheers to NCCO for arranging to work with him in the near term: this bodes well for the next few season's programming!
