I was surprised that tonight's early show didn't seem to be sold out, though it could just be that my perception of the standing capacity of the Henderson Lab is somewhat off (given that I'd previously only been in there for seated shows); in any case, I appreciated that there was plenty of room to dance, and no one tried to elbow in at any point during our hour.

Not having done much musical research, I was expecting to hear something similar to a Snarky Puppy set, but instead, we got a set of mellow soul, spiced here and there with a little bit of funk and rock. Not especially jazzy, unless you want to concede the cover of My Funny Valentine as satisfying some sort of setlist requirement.
