Notes

Greg started off the festivities by treating us to a fine set of tunes in the blazing sunshine on the back porch; I'm sorry that we didn't rally in time to catch the whole thing!

For ease of entry, I'd split my raw setlits notes between the two bands for this show, but then friggin' SimpleNote wiped out my detailed notes for the Lesh set (sync error, doh!) I guess there wasn't a good enough cell connection there to save each edit? Consequently, I have no time info to post for Phil's part of the day, and only very limited info about the singers and sit-ins, sorry! Guess I need to go back to work on energizing my photographic memory!

Quick thoughts: * it was a very mellow scene, all day long * Ross treated both Hard Rain and Throwin' Stones as rave ups, starting out relatively mellow, but then cranking up the energy and tension with each go 'round until he was positively screaming by the end. Made for a fun time, that's for sure! * The Box of Rain » Wharf Rat » Box of Rain sandwich was very unusual, and quite nicely done. * Given the many omissions from the planned setlist to the actual one, I wonder whether they really thought they would be playing all those tunes, or just tossing ideas around when it was writ.
