Notes

I had a great time at tonight's gig. The crowd was mellow and friendly, the music was consistently good, and the bonus hour in the bar put things over the top!

If I were to whine and complain, I guess I'd say that like the previous Telstar gig, this one was long on jamming, but short on actual deep space exploration. Made for easier listening … lots of fun playing the listener's favorite: “name that riff!” Most of the time I didn't bother to write down such briefly recognizable themes; I'm sure a dedicated listener could parse a recording of tonight's show into many more possible tunes than I've noted above. Another problem with my list is that I was pretty slack as far as noting segues between jammed sections. There could be plenty more divisions created to accommodate those variations as well … supposing that a picky listener were at the console to make such splits!

Hanging out on the stairway in the bar was a great way to wind down. Lots of friends there tonight. Stu was in fine form. Durango was super good. The young 'uns in the crowd seemed to be particularly amped up for the Tweezer reprise … I'm guessing the first part happened earlier in the night while we were still in the Grate Room.
