I have an extra ticket for Hamza El Din on Saturday (tomorrow)
at Zellerbach Hall in Berkeley at 8 PM. I'll be driving up from
Santa Cruz for the show, so if you're interested, we can car
pool there (or I can meet you at/near the venue). The ticket is $21.

Here's the writeup on the show:

Hamza El Din, the father of modern Nubian music, has devoted more than
30 years to the preservation and expression of the musical traditions
of his homeland. Honored across the globe, El Din has collaborated with
prestigious and diverse artists from the Paris Opera Ballet to Kronos
Quartet and the Grateful Dead's Mickey Hart. Interweaving his gentle,
hypnotic voice with the oud (the Arab precursor of the lute) and tar
(drum), El Din and his ensemble are joined by guest artists Joan
Jeanrenaud (formerly of Kronos Quartet) on cello, composer Terry
Riley, pianist William Allaudin Mathieu, vocalist Devi Mathieu,
and dancer Alonzo.
