Both sets tonight were very good. Cables was certainly the more traditional of the two, but there wasn't anything particularly old fashioned about his playing. Very solid, and quite fun to listen to. Makes me think that I should have been more careful to see him more often on some of his occasional visits to the west coast – I'm pretty sure it had been over 10 years since the last time I caught one of his gigs. I was extra pleased to be able to thank him and shake hands after the show ended.

Fly was also really fun, and the nonverbal communication between the trio members was interesting to watch. Good stuff!
