Notes

What a wild, multilayered onion of a movie! It was great fun to watch it unfold accompanied by the explosive live accompaniment of Antonio Sanchez… Made the crazy sequences pop out all that much more. On the other hand, the live drums also made it a little hard to follow the dialog, though a fair fraction of that problem might also be attributed to growing old and deaf. From what I understand, losing the ability to follow speech is one of the first signs of age-related hearing loss. Dang nabbit! Hey you kids, get off my lawn! Uh, now where was I headed? Oh yeah, good flick! Would have been nice to hang out and discuss it over a drink, but our group lacked consensus, so off to BART we went. And the reward for leaving early? Stuck in a CHP sobriety checkpoint in West Oakland. Crap! What a waste of time.
