Notes

I was worried that tonight's show was going to be a little too amateurish, but in the end, it was pretty good, even if their take on the jazz idiom was a bit loose.

I liked listening to most of the solos, especially those from the piano and sarangi players. The two main drummers were amusing to watch – they seemed to be sharing quite a bit of non verbal communication via looks and light touches on the arm – almost like each was trying to boss the other one around, while the third one seemed curiously intent on beating the hell out of whatever piece of hand percussion that he was holding: a desktop alarm bell (I'll ring for a clerk sir), a triangle, hand shakers, and so on: one item per tune!

Whoa! This section is incomplete for now, sorry!
