Notes

Short, but sweet, like most sets in the Henderson lab. Probably would get one more tune at the late show, but I'm not psyched to do double payment, and they've never yet suggested that it's ok to stick around for readmittance… Maybe I should ask!

No photos tonight, sorry. I thought about doing a few, but between the dim lighting and the occluded sightlines, I didn't think the result would be worthwhile.

Cyrus wore a colorful, patterned shirt: mostly blue with gold and red in a sort of put wheel shaped tiling pattern, accented with silver stitching in some counter pattern that I couldn't recognize (floral? Abstract? Not geometric like the base color pattern). Buster and Lenny dressed in black. Buster accented his suit with a stylish silver pocket hankie while Lenny's most distinctive decoration was a black skullcap. Not quite the pirate look – needed a red scarf and a parrot or a hook and eye-patch to suggest that sort of ensemble.

I really enjoyed the inclusion of two classically-based pieces in the program: it was an unexpected surprise that got me thinking I should make time to practice my piano chops: it would be fun to play again, just gotta make the time right?
