As expected, tonight's show was very colorful, but I felt like the choreography wasn't quite up to past levels of Mark Morris excellence, and the score by Ethan Iverson had entirely too much avant jazz angular weirdness. I suppose that the kind reviewer would comment that they successfully avoided the trap of slavish homage to the original. I enjoyed parts of it, particularly <snip>
