-<(wip)>+Having seen and heard Steve Coleman occasionally over the years, I knew what to expect going into tonight's show, but somehow I expected that the weekend's theme -- celebrating the 50th Anniversary of John Coltrane's _A Love Supreme_ -- would draw out something different from Steve and his group. And saddled with that baggage, I found myself somewhat disappointed. And it's not because there was anything wrong with the gig -- Steve was playing in the same m-base style he's been developing ove the past 30+ years -- but I wasn't in the right mood to really listen to it, so the night was not as rewarding for me as it could have been.
