Notes

Major props to Audfellow for identifying a few of the tune titles; Dave coulda helped, but instead, he said nothing after his introductory remarks!

Lionel played with a lot of different effects and voicings on his guitar tonight. Sometimes it was interesting, but other times his sound choices were … baffling. Just too weird for me, and that's really saying something!

In tracks 3, 4 and 7 above, I used right double guillemet marks where Chris changed from tenor to soprano or back. I suppose it's possible that the band was also changing tunes (since I usually use that mark to indicate a segue), but I don't think that was the case tonight.

Dave Pehling posted a nice promo piece about Dave's run of shows on the local CBS website… and gets things right as far as mentioning that tonight's show is going to be a power trio gig instead of the originally advertised “New Quartet” with Chris Potter.

Andrew Gilbert published an interview with Dave for KQED Arts.
