As I suspected at the first announcement, this event came as more of a vanity recital than a serious show: a chance for two semi-privileged groups (sports and music stars) to mingle and have fun. The audience was a strange mix too. Plenty of regular 'heads, but also knucklehead sports fans and a few high-dollar donors unclear on the concept that general admission doesn't mean that everyone gets to stand in the very front. | As I suspected at the first announcement, this event came as more of a vanity recital than a serious show: a chance for two semi-privileged groups (sports and music stars) to mingle and have fun.
