-<(wip)>+At this point, Fish Rock parties have achieved mandatory status: hang out with friends over a weekend of rock-n-roll? Oh yeah, let's do it again baby!
 +
+Paul and Fred seemed considerably more relaxed on this visit (2 nd or 3rd), and spent much more time hanging out and shooting the breeze than I recall from previous events. And Paul is a witty guy, very fun to hang out and listen to him wisecracking or telling anecdotes of life on tour.
 +
+The the set layout made for a full day of music: just the way we like it! It was sad to find out that Sam had quit touring with Moksha, and the vocals suffered accordingly, but the guys have soldiered on, and it was fun to hear them working out a new presentation of their act. The current approach seemed to showcase more funky electronica than previously -- no doubt training that long jams don't need vocals. It'll be interesting to see how that approach holds up!

+I was happy to note that Paul and Fred performed a set that was significantly different from last year (when they basically repeated the same set twice). Even have me stumped in a few of the titles. Good show!

+The jam session with everyone after dinner was a stanky funky throwdown. Nothing too precise about it, just heaping helpings of bottom heavy, booty shaking beats, embellished with ringing guitars and Tree's highly processed clavinet. The ten PM curfew arrived way too soon -- 90 minutes gone in a flash! Funny how time slips away like that when everyone is riding the big groove.
