Weak turnout tonight … maybe a half-full room? Made for a pleasant evening for all of us in attendance, hopefully not too much of a bummer for the band.

Roger prefaced the inaugural performance of his new tune, Thoughts and Prayers, by commenting that while this one had been cooking for some time, the recent massacre in Orlando prompted him to channel his anguish and wrap it up. It's a good tune, and sobering to hear him run down the list of shootings: the families of our country have suffered way too many senseless deaths because our stupid politicians lack the will to make any substantial changes to our outdated gun-ownership laws! Notwithstanding the 2nd Amendment, I believe it's criminal that someone can buy a weapon designed ONLY for quickly and efficiently killing other humans with minimal restrictions. Pathetic!
